Alwan Color Expertise, a leader in color management and process control software, has announced the successful implementation of its color management suite, ColorHub and PrintStandardizer, at the Dallas-Fort Worth facility of Venture Solutions. Venture Solutions specializes in full-color variable digital printing and eSolutions channels such as email, SMS, web and mobile.

Venture Solutions serves clients in highly-regulated industries such as mortgage, banking, insurance, healthcare retirement services and utilities. The company has two production facilities, Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN, USA, and Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, that are 100% digital print operations, featuring digital presses from Xerox, Oce and Konica-Minolta in its production environment.

“Our clients are meticulous about the integrity of their brand color throughout the entire run, however color can drift on a digital press during a print run of over two million personalized financial transaction statements. In the beginning, we had no way of assuring our customers that we could match their brand color on a consistent basis,” says Dave Schuller, director of IT Support. “With client demand moving us to get serious about color management, we first adopted Alwan ColorHub and PrintStandardizer for our Minneapolis operation. Delivering consistent color quality has enabled us to experience double-digit growth in new customer acquisition in 2015. In addition to maintaining accurate brand colors, serving clients in the insurance and medical vertical markets requires printed collateral materials that are people-focused. This requires printing accurate flesh tones, which we are able to do now thanks to Alwan color management.”

“Based on the success in our Minneapolis operations, Alwan ColorHub and PrintStandardizer were installed in Dallas-Fort Worth in May of 2015.” he adds. “Alwan ColorHub automatically applies color management to each digital file we receive from our customers. PrintStandardizer automatically updates G7 curves to each digital press and subsequent paper type. This enables us to assign jobs to any digital press, using any paper substrate, in either one of our print operations. For load balancing and customer delivery efficiencies, we will often print the same job in either Dallas or Minneapolis. Maintaining color consistency from plant to plant enables us to achieve tremendous manufacturing efficiencies.”
